Freshman Math & Reading Camp 2023

New Freshmen in the Class of 2027 are invited to a one week "Sharpen your Skills" camp for math and reading. This will be a great opportunity to meet our teachers and future classmates, and get ready for high school!

For the Math section, students will practice the math skills they will need throughout high school, including a wide range of basic algebra concepts. Students will also practice working with their TI-84 calculators, which they will use in every math class at SJA, and learn tricks on the calculator that will make their lives much easier over the next four years.

In this camp, students will focus on practicing important skills for reading including identifying main ideas, analyzing author point of view, and making connections. Students will read a variety of texts and make connections to their lives while improving their reading comprehension.
